About the Author:
Rev. Fred M. Williams has a real burden to see African American men discover and move into the purpose for which God has created them. He has developed this burden over 38 years of outreach to black men through neighborhood evangelism, prison ministry, workplace bible studies, one on one discipleship, campus ministry and Pastoral ministry. He and his wife Rev. JoAnne M. Williams have written numerous newspaper columns in the Carolinian and Triangle Tribune Newspapers and have self-published three books which includes Sermon Notebook, a journal for taking notes in church, Building Blocks for a Strong Christian Marriage, Parables for Life, and his latest book, The Black Man’s Toolkit. Fred received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Economics from Shaw University in 1974 and his Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 1996 from North Carolina State University. He has served the body of Christ as Deacon, Elder and Bible Teacher, Prison Ministry and Evangelism Coordinator and Interim Pastor. He currently works for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as Regional Coordinator for Black Campus Ministries in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Fred and his wife, Rev. JoAnne Williams are both ordained Pastors and are available for preaching and teaching engagements, workshops and seminars. The Williams reside in Raleigh, NC and are the proud parents of one adult son, Matthew Isaac Williams who is married to the former Andrea Neblitt.
